Fished Wenas on Saturday, April 9th. We were fishing the creek channel just
off of the Public boat ramp. Morning bite didn't seem to turn on until
around 9:30 a.m. We were fishing nightcrawlers under slip bobbers varying
the depth from 6' to about 12' with the best luck at the deeper depths.
Caught four to six very small rainbows and my son, Deric, caught a nice 15"
brown on a nightcrawler at about 10' down. Once the
wind stopped blowing and the fish were hitting the surface my brother, Paul,
caught four rainbows throwing a green/chartruese Rooster Tail, with the
biggest one about 13". One gentlemen caught a nice 15" brown while fishing
a shiner under a slip bobber.
