Well, I hit up Teal on Memorial day with a couple buddies. Not the best day in the world. I got there around noon-thirty and got my float tube all pumped up. I got in the water with my fly rod and started off with a beadhead black krystal-bugger. I trolled that around the lake without any luck. After some thought, I decided to try a flash-back HE nymph under a Stimulator, I casted that into the shoals, but it produced nothing. After I was sufficiently bored of catching nothing, I looked in the water and caught a glimpse of a bug, a mosquito on the surface. I tied on a mosquito pattern and casted that in the good spots. I got one swirl at it, but that's it. It was now around 4:00, so I figured the fish were down deep to avoid the sun, I tied on an olive wooly bugger with a damselfly nymph trailing and trolled that one more time around the lake. Nothing. Apparently no one was catching much, boats or shore, bait or fly. It was fun to be out on the water, but I just wish I could have caught some fish.
