Fished Elokia for the first time this Spring. It was awesome. The weather was a bit cool and windy, but the fishing was great. Used the launch at Jerry, cause I wanted to talk to the resort folks and have them direct me toward the fish. They were great. The small Island on the North end of Lake is the hot spot. Caught a bucket full, of legal size crappie, tons of Blue Gills, but the fun part was the largemouth bass I caught on the last cast of the day. A nice 19 inch, 3.6 lbs.
I was using Nitro worms, damnest things I ever saw, they are green. I guess the guy who grows them put a red powder in the dirt and the worms eat the powder and they turn green and they glow in the dark. I bet they would be kick ass for night time Walleyes.
I would give this Lake a 5, but the grass is thick.
