I headed out after work and got to fish a few hours before dark. When there is bright sun and calm water your chances of catching a muskie are reduced, they get spooked easily. So I throw lures that are black or natural colored to help up my odds. I use days like this to cover water casting and scouting new fish holding spots. Find structure and usually a muskie will follow, then you have another customer to visit when conditions favor you. Saw 3 muskies and a ton of largemouths. 2 of the skie's were legal plus a few inches, so it payed off to do some searching. Fish were fallowing a small mepps bucktail in black with brass blade, worked slower near the bottom. All fish were in about 5 feet of water also.
