Well another foray to Leech. It was slow because of the warm weather
but did catch some fish. Usually brookies in the 8-12 inch range. Some
will go as much as 16 inches. Middle of the lake is best during the
day. I usually drag either a Hare's Ear nymph or a Royal Wulff on top.
Evenings casting around the inlet and outlet creeks are most productive
with the Wulff.
If a damsel fly hatch is on, use an adult damsel fly. The fish will
practically jump into the boat. Getting on the lake is easy and the
camping areas are good. No motors allowed so bring your oars or
paddles.
Should be good fishing through the middle to end of October.
