Hello there Bass guys and all fellow fishermen. Well i hit shadow lake at the crack of dawn Saturday morning in my pontoon boat. There is no boat launch here so getting down to the water from the parking lot is a challenge if you have a pontoon or raft. But hey let me tell ya it's worth it buddy. This lake is feed by a river i think it was sammish . Water is stained and temp was about 55. I fished for Bass the hole day. Got into my first bass about 10min into the water, nice 2lb LMB on a spinnerbait, he came out of 2 feet of water near grass and lay downs. So i follow that pattern all day, targeted all parts of lake gave me the same presentation and there was a lot of areas that offered it. I ended up catching a total of 6 LMB / 2lb / 2.5lbs/ 4 lbs / 2lbs/ 3lbs / and a baby bass ... I only caught my first bass on spinner bait all the others came on a 6 inch plastic worm (will not mention color, LOL) . It was key to make good cast right up against the banks to get them to bite. These bass were getting ready to spawn and had eggs in them. I released all bass (i always do ) really enjoyed this lili lake and i will be back soon, no one else was there all day (ON A SATURDAY) not too many lake that can say that huh. I will say this, I'm off to a great start this year. Last weekend got 4LB smally and this weekend a 4LB LMB. happy hooking .. Bigbass Dez strikes again .. (can anyone tell me how to upload pics from cell phone ? )

Are you sure you fished Shadow Lake? I have fished it many times and it has a concrete plank boat launching ramp.

The Shadow Lake in King County is 49 acres, reaches depths of about 45 feet and has a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife public access area with lots of parking space, a pit toilet and a good concrete plank boat launching ramp. To get there from Renton, take the Maple Vally Highway (#169) for about 6 miles to stop light at 196th St. Turn up the hill for 2.6 miles to Petrovitsky Road stoplight. Cross Petrovitsky Road and travel .5 mile to where 196th Ave SE forks to the right. Continue on 196th Ave for .4 mile to 213th St. Turn right onto 213th Street and the WDFW public access is on the right

okay Bastrk , I just reviewed the topo map of shadow lake i now im convinced that this the lake i fished because i remember the narrow part of the lake , I think we just parked in the wrong spot because we had to walk down to the lake .. but i recall seeing to my right what appeared to another lil lake , i just assumed it was a runn off area .. Thats where the launch must be ...hmmm i never got into that area . i park in the Park area .. this is good to know because i havent been back here due there no boat launch visable to me .. .. well at least i didnt post my report on the wrong lake ... I live in bothell so we took a different way to the lake ... Hey Bass Trcker Why dont you meet me here this coming weakend ????
