Spent a good part of the day with a friend trolling small jerkbaits for trout .We caught several nice ones as well. Still a few triploids left. The smaller trout ranged from 10 -13 inches .Kept a few for dinner. A minnow shaped plug that dives 4-5 ft works real good in here the best being a Diawa SC Shiner in a rainbow trout pattern, these look just like a rainbow fry. Rapalas and Cultiva Mirashad plugs work excellent here as well. At times though it's hard to get them through all the little bass in this lake. The water is rather shallow(12 ft. at deepest)so the bass are all over even out in the middle and can at times be rather bothersome. These trout in this lake like a medium speed troll(about 1.3 - 2.0 mph)
