It was another excellent Spring season on Whatcom. Opening
day and the fish were already on beds! Wow! That doesn't happen
very often , but this year , the Full Moon was in the first week of the month, bringing those fish in to spawn a little earlier.
We had a couple 17-18 lb days, but I noticed for the most part
that the Big Fish weren't as prevalent. Big Fish meaning 4-5 lbs..
My clients and I looked out a little deeper and yes we did find some Toads out deeper on beds. Jerk Baits and Senkos were great baits for Big Fish! Its mid July now and the fishing is on fire!!! I don't know what's got into them but when you real in a fish there's 5-10 more following! Wow , what an excitement that is. At times you can catch fish cast after cast, especially early and late in the day! There's some New Baits out there that seem to be working just awesomely! Come fish with me and lets go get em! Good Luck to all of you, and keep supporting Mike's Washington Lakes.com It sure is a great site that's growing in popularity daily!! Thanks Mike for the Great site!
