man....if I could fish anywhere in Washington for only 1 day it would be Ross lake. once you actually get to the lake you are the only one on the lake and the view is tremendous. while I was waiting for the rest of my party to get ready to go fishing I was casting a small silver panther martin lure off the dock, I let it sink a ways down and has I started to real in I got a nice 12 in dolly. I ended up catching 3 fish by the time every body was ready. once in the boat we went to ruby arm to try fishing we were trolling different spinners I was still on the panther martin. every body caught a few small wild dollies and rainbows. on the second day I went out alone and found a waterfall on ruby arm. there was a bank right next to it so I got out of my boat and started to cast my new favorite lure, on the tenth cast or so I caught the most perfect rainbow you could ever imagine. it was 18 inches and it was spawning because the sides of the fish were as colorful as a box of crayons!
. later that night I ate it, since the water was cold and the fish was wild I decided to not put any seasoning on the fish. boy was I right that was on of the best fish I have ever had. even better the Alaskan kings!
