Went fishing with my wife on American Lake first, but nothing so around 10:30ish am, I came over to lake Secuallitchew to try our luck. I forgot that this lake was more of a bass/panfish lake than a trout lake because of the shallowness. But it's one of the most peaceful lakes (I think) in Pierce county and if you go to the eastern end of the lake, it widens out and I'm sure it gets very deep as well. Other an some GIs doing so training exercises, my wife and I were the only ones there that day. Using various trout bait, none really seem to work.

I know that there were fish though because I could see them jumping to get the various bugs that were out and about. I'm going to try again in a week or two and bring different bait. I haven't caught a bass since I lived in Ft Sill, OK. and it would be nice to fish for this type of fish again even though I really want to catch trout.
