Just had to go back and stay at one of the boat in campsites, a great experience in itself. The water temperature was between 48 degrees and 50 degrees. They must have let some water out of the dam because the lake was low. Wind was terrible the first two days out, got to fish a total of about 5 hours the first two days and that was fighting the wind the whole time we did how ever manage to boat 3 nice rainbows 16 incher being the largest. On the last day there we had about 4 or 5 hours to fish and the weather was perfect lake was like glass no wind at all we worked the gorge and boated 3 more in short order, released another and lost a couple more, got quite a few decent hits but missed them, action was very good unfortunately we had to head for home. The boat in campsites are a great experience for those of you who want peace and quiet when your camping, did get to see a bear swimming the lake to the other side. I plan on fishing this lake a couple more times this year, the native trout put up a very good fight definitely worth the trip.
