Decided to make it a fishing weekend. We went up to Whidbey Island for the weekend and hit up Lone twice on Saturday and then another time on Sunday....
Saturday: Went out from about 8:00am to 11:00am...I think we landed about 9 fish in the morning.Smallest were 13-14" and the biggest being 17", average probably right at 15". A bit breezy, and plenty of other boats out there too by the time we left...It was nice out though, and my buddy was slaying them on a Silver Triple Teazer fished deep and I fished a Silver Dick Nite pretty close to bottom too...
We went back out in the PM and managed to get into a few more fish that day, I think like 4 more in about an hour and a half of fishing...It was extremely windy and I don't know why we even launched cause we spent more time trying to get lines out and keeping the boat straight. Same gear and same depths for the afternoon...
Sunday morning/midday: We got a later start due to sleeping in. Out there and fishing by about noon and then we fished until about 3:30. We managed to get 10 nice fish today, all about the same size fishing the same gear and depths except I switched it up and went with the Triple Teazer, my buddy was getting more then I did so I bought that exact lure and tied it up...It was a lot less windy today, still a gentle but cold breeze but a lot more managable and we caught some nice fish to cap off a great fishing weekend...
The rating should be about a 4.5 but I'll give it a 4 because of the wind and weather which was brutal at times and we didn't get into any bigger (18+ inch fish) like I normally do find a few of...
