What a great day to be on the lake. We were invited by our friends to join them in fishing from their houseboat and enjoy the autumn scenery. We launched from Ft. Spokane and went downriver, towards 7 Bays--- got the first of only 2 rainbows. 14" and 18", and hefty to boot. Used Rapalas, fishing 12' deep while slow trolling. The water surface was calm (almost mirror-like) until we got down near the Hawk Creek outlet, where a slight breeze added a bit of chop. The day was warm; the water temperature was 60 degrees. It was the first time I had fished the Lake from the Two Rivers area, and it was a grand day indeed. When you have the opportunity to fish: DO IT. Incidentally, my wife caught the fish...
