Today me and my cousin Lyndon hit the lake at 6:30 this morning. When we first got there, there were many fish jumping and feeding off the top. We decided bottom fishing with worms was the best way to go, so we started fishing. In a matter of minutes we had each caught 1 fish. For some reason we had accidentally left a pack of worms at the gate entrance, so we went back to get them. But for some reason they were missing? Some guys had pulled in right before we went to get the worms. We asked the guys if they had taken the worms and of course they replied with a "NO!!!!!"
My cousin and I were very mad because we were almost out of worms and the stupid guys stole our bait. We knew it was ours because it had a special picture on it that only gets sold at a special mini mart in Vancouver. And of course theirs had the picture on it. We were 30 mins away from home with no vehicle, no parents, and no worms. We needed a plan. So we called up Lyndon's dad and asked him to bring us worms. He said NO. So we asked my dad and he said NO. Then we tried to ask a guy fishing on the sand if he could spare some worms and he said NO. We were practically crying. We couldn't believe that no one was nice enough to get us some worms, so we just used what was left of a single worm (half) and started fishing again. By this time it was practically daylight and the fish have started to wind down. After fishing for about 10 more mins me and Lyndon were about to say screw it, when out of know where my Uncle comes driving in and gives us two more packages of worms. Thank God our day was saved. We immediately put fresh worms on and were on the hunt again. We fished for another good 3 hours before we finally stopped. Altogether we caught 7 fish averaging around 1 pound each. We saw a couple nice 4-5 pound broods
and one big 10+ brooder that was doing laps around the lake. The whole day was a blast, except for the 2 older guys and their little Dotson that almost ruined our day. Met a couple of nice guys fishing spinners and flipping jigs, caught a couple fish, and had a great time. Can't beat that
