Well I am a bit late with this report, but farewell to all of the wonderful people I had the opportunity to meet. Yes many of the regulars fished this body of water until dark in the evening of its annual closure.
I would have to say that many many people fishing for Perch during the year had great success. The best fishing was in August and September. What happened to the Crappie? I only saw a few caught, well better and bigger for next year.
I saw so many different people fishing week end after week end who were from all over the state. Several parties came from the Tacoma area and through out the Puget Sound area. Not to forget so many people from central and eastern Wa. Would you know it that 90 % of these people know each other just because of their love for Downs Lake. I only have one year of fishing downs but I can say I will fish it for many years to come. I love the people and the lake.
Mary and I wish the very best to everyone and certainly hope to see all of you and more new comers next year.
The best of fishing to you.
Kris
