This is a great lake, lot's of activity. The trick was matching the hatch, and I did not have a termite pattern. I would describe the evening surface activity as a feeding frenzy, with fish up to 16 inches slamming right out of the water. I managed a few with the closest fly I had to matching the termite.
The downside was the poachers living at the lake. Drunk and aggressive; they were screaming profanity all night and breaking bottles. Please report people like this that can ruin the experience. Another guy that I met at the lake decided not to camp after seeing the group, and said "I think they are meth cooks."
A great lake that could be better. Please help to police this gem.
