I fished Stevens from about 10:00 to 2:00. The water was clear the temp 68 there was lots of jet ski and wake board traffic on the main lake so i cruised toward the shallow water near the city boat launch. Two docks down i caught about a 3lb large mouth and another of the same size a couple of more docks down. As I got further in toward the launch the depth shallowed to 1-2 ft of water. I cast my 5" watermelon/red senko into what i thought was a for sure snag, around a piling, over a buoy, and between some rope hanging from this shallow weeded dock. 5 sec. after my worm hit the water the fight was on. I didn't have a scale but this fish had to be 7-8lb. Lake Stevens is a great mid week lake if you come on the weekends expect lots of ski boat traffic.
