Started out at sun up, raining and cold, we hit the area just to the right of the launch using cranks and top water, fished there for about 30 min caught one about 18" on tiny torpedo, we then moved across the lake and speed fished edges because we were pressed for time, My buddy caught 3 fish from edges and in the grass and I got one that hit my lure before I could move it. All the fish were vary fat and looked well fed, good weights for there sizes (1 to 1 1/2lbs). Moved over to other side of lake near swimming area and I caught 2 more off the bottom with plastic craws. Decided to head in and hit one more spot before calling it a day, only had one more bite but it was a good one. Thought I was hung up, then my line headed out towards deep water, when I got it to the boat I was confronted by a mouth over 6" across. The bass had a huge head but not much weight, very skinny compared to it's head size. May have been vary old or sick, only weighted 5lb. 2 oz. Still not a bad day.
