Never fished Lake Sixteen so thought I would give it a shot. Looked good in the beginning saw a couple of guys with 5 trout that were all 17 inches or better. They had 1 10 inch bass on the stringer as well.
I got a late start and wasnt on the water until 3pm. I started out trolling a wedding ring and worm and caught a 8 inch bass within the first minute. Things are lookin up. Went all the way to the North End and trolling up the shoreline caught 1 more small bass. Moved out into some deeper water and caught a 15" rainbow. Things were looking good. Never got another bite the rest of the day. Only fished for 3 hours and probably left when I should have started fishing but had a football game to go to.
Pretty lake. No gas motors allowed. A local tried to tell me I couldn't put my lund on the boat because I had a gas motor even though the motor was tilted up and out of the water. I ignored him and went fishing. I'm still here and the game wardens never came and got me. I understand you have a beautiful home on a beautiful lake, but what gives people the nerve to try and keep out others from fishing a public lake. Im sure they don't mind having their lake stocked by the state.
*Editor's Note: My understanding of this reg is the homeowner is correct. Even with the motor tilted up it can't be in the water due to the risk of gas/oil leaking. Anyway, that's what I've been told.
