My dad, brother, and I went to battle ground to try to catch some of the new cut throats they put in there on Tuesday. We got in the water about 7:10 AM, which you don't want to do because if the ranger comes down there and your there before 8:00AM he will write you a $100 parking ticket. Anyway there were a ton of huge fish rolling around and jumping. We trolled fenders with wedding rings tipped with worms. We got about 3 light bites in an hour, then we switched to various baits and lures with no results.. We were there for four hours and only saw three fish caught between 20 poles. There are a ton of fish here, but wait for a week or so for them to calm down and start feeding not just jumping three feet out of the water. BTW all the fish we did see get caught were fat cut throats in the 2-3lbs range.
