Another day on the water for those tasty sockeye. Fished from 6am to 10am with friends Tom and his wife Stephanie. We ran three rods off two riggers and an extra dodger off a ball to add more attraction. Got a couple early and then around 8am the action picked up (usual morning bite). We ran our rigs from 65 to 90 feet deep and used a variety of hook colors, including one combo red-blue dual hooks. The fish hit about equally on all rods, although the red-blue seemed to be the most popular. Final tally was 7 fish in the boat and 4 lost, one at the boat. Not bad for four hours of fishing. Could have picked up a few more I'm sure but the action slowed and I promised my wife to return in the morning - always best to keep those promises! Sure enjoyed Tom and Stephanie's company, they are great fishers. Hope you had a chance at those sockeye!
