I fished Battle ground lake late in the afternoon with my girlfriend. We were rigged up with ford fenders with wedding rings tipped with worms. We had a lot of very, very light bites but couldn't hook most of them. The trout we did catch were very small (5-7in). After not hooking any fish we wanted to keep we hooked the raft up to a log and cast just a worm, no weight or swivel, towards the shore and caught some little bass and a lot of blue gill. If you are going to fish here I would recommend you fish in the morning, the bite seems a lot better and I generally catch bigger fish. Good luck.
