went to the potholes for the week. the crappie were hitting real good. caught about 50 in 2 hours out of my spot in the lind coulee. only 2 over 9" but real fun. the crappie were also hitting real good off the dock. over the week i caught about 15 keepers off the dock but i only kept 3 that were about 11" each. my big fish for the trip was 12" and 1lb 2oz. caught all fish on mini jigs.

remember to release all crappie under the 9" minimum. the fishing has improved so much in the last couple of years because of this. a lot more big fish and a ton of little ones because of the higher water level. the future is real bright.
