Lake Washington smallmouth?

Post by StuckOnTheBank » Sun May 16, 2010 3:50 pm

I only get to fish on the weekends and the last two (weather wise) have been great but with few fish. I caught fish two weeks ago that were full of eggs in 15-25 feet of water. Are they post spawn already?

Well, all I know is the past two weekends have been really pleasant. I had some perfect drifts and some cold beer. I had that feeling you get when you make a cast and you just know you're going to have that sudden rock hard hit. For some reason they just didn't cooperate with me. In the immortal words of Chief Dan George......sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn't.

Yup, some have spawned already. It depends on which part of the lake your at. Don't be discouraged if the spawn passes you by here, post spawn for smallies is a blast here.

The spawn is in full bloom on wa wa , Those fish that are in 15ft are spawing and on beds !! Keep in mind folks that just because a bass arent sitting on a bed in 10ft or less of water just mean that there not spawing or the spawn is over ! Smallies will make there beds all over the place ! Iv got a smallies of beds in 20ft of water next to docks ... Some fish have spawned out already but like AMX stated not all bass spawn at the same time . :nemo:
