They sell tickets at the Sportsman Shows, tickets at Seminars, tickets at the Muskie School and of course at Chapter meetings and at many, many places at home and work.
It is for a good cause: The Tiger Muskie Fishery in WA.. There were over 900 tickets sold in the last 4 months, so it was a successful campaign.
The drawing was last night and the winners will be notified today, as none of them were present.
But from all the celebrations and excitement (even a live phone feed from Illinois from the Treasurer) you would have guessed all there were winners. Which, indeed, they were.
Only one of the 4 winners was a Chapter member: THT Dennis Hempler, currently serving his country in the U.S. Army in Iraq.
Seems a couple of CH57 members sent him a Care Package, including several copies of MUSKIE MAGAZINE, MuskyHunter Magazine, Chapter decal, stuffed baby muskie toy and some other fishing items & candy. Along with a few raffle tickets that they paid for and donated to him, as the Hempler's are ALWAYS very lucky at raffles!
Dennis's ticket won the $120 Digital Safe.
We will get a photo op of him for the web site ASAP.
Congratulations to ALL who contributed to the cause by buying/selling tickets.
And Special Thanks to all of our men and women who are now or who have, served our country.
