Now that Spring has officially arrived and as the days get longer,..the weather/water warmer I'm curious 2 know what evrerybody plans on "Tossin-4-Bass",..are you targeting SMB/LMB,..are you Bassin in BIG-WATERS or Small Lakes/Ponds. Pre-Spawn is on it's way and the Bassin should be exciting this year,..will you be targeting Spawning-Beds? Just curious 2 see where people are at with their Bassin and what they plan on throwing,..there are so many different presentations 2 choose from it tends 2 discourage the Bassin-Begginer,..the "what do I throw next" question comes into play,..as for me, I plan on attacking some Beds/Structure/Docks on WaWa with a variety of lures including but not limited 2 Swimbaits,..I have been on "Recon" all winter and I've found some very promising spots for "Greenies",..so chime in and let's see what you got!

Tomorrow I am heading over to the seep lakes south of Potholes.
I will be looking for Smallmouth.
A friend of mine got a bit bored over the winter and tied up a bunch of Rabbit hair jigs for me to try out.
I also like the ole jig and pig this time of the year.
I will be looking around the spawning areas but do not expect to see any beds yet.

When the weather gets cruddy over here, I make my way over to banks, when the bass are so angry on their beds, they will bite your finger if you put it in the water. But, this winter trolling and dropshotting is getting boring, so I'm looking forward to casting docks and such in the spring/summer.
Banks lake for LIFE!

sent junior out to find heavy twine that home depot place them people have the best its takes some time though diggin through those dumpsters, meanwhile i be lookin for the bait gotta have roadkill the more smelly the better and gotta have maggots too the more the better king county got the best i tell ya then the the work begins i gather all the tools 1 rock 1 rusty nail 1 steak knife and a boat or some old tennis shoes they dont have be tennis they be basketball dont matter. anyway gather up the supplies and tools and head for the nearest body of water. next put shoes on if you dont have a boat and get in the water you wanna find a tree hanging out over the water take bloated roadkill tie twine to leg dont matter witch i reckon i like the back legs myself take your rock and pound nail into tree you can just tie it on if you dont have a rock or nail. hang roadkill from nail. now this part is critcial make sure roadkill is at least 8 inchs above water. let roadkill hang for a week maggots will fall out of carcus into he water attracting bass bluegill warmouth u name it.i try this way every year IT SIMPLY WORKS FRIENDS WHO NEEDS ALL THAT EXPENSIVE GEAR .

I'm going to try and stay committed as long as possible to using plastaic baits. I usually get a little fustrated with them, because sometimes you have to fish them slow and if I'm not getting bites. I'm quick to change to a spinnterbait or perch crankbait!
I'm looking for the next big bucket mouth on Lk. WA if at all possible. Tough to come by though..But, I will take any bites..

Dont get addicted to visable stucture BB , there are too many anglers that dont know where to cast unless they can see it .. This year one of my first goals to to find as many off shore area that has "hidden" stucture . By putting in the time to do this you will always have water that holds fish and you dont have to worry about racing another boat to a honey hole or community spots ..

I wish I had a boat with electronics to do just that. There are so many areas off shore that hold fish and very few know about. The shoreline approach is only good for a short period, and docks are hit and miss at times...tho that's all some know and all some can target..myself included. I finally bought a fish finder for my float tube this year for just that reason. I find fishing the smaller ponds and lakes into summer there is too much vegetation to effectively fish the shoreline. Hopefully with the FF I can go out from shore and target weedlines, small channels, drops, etc.BassDood wrote:I wish I had a boat with electronics to do just that. It'll be interesting for me to see if the investment pays off in the tube. I thought about getting a used jon boat instead of investing in the FF, but later when I do switch up to the jon boat I'll already have the electronics That's the plan anyway. Or not. I do love the solitude of tubing in small ponds

No Dez,..I learned a long time ago not 2 limit myself 2 just one presentation,..in this case "Visible Structure",..my point was that while Bassin and the weather warms I love 2 attack Docks and Fallen Trees,..but I'm no stranger 2 "Points-Ridges-Creek Channels-Humps and Flats",..my PB on WaWa was landed near an area of structure that I couldn't see,......!Bigbass Dez wrote:BassinBomber wrote:I 2 am very bored with Winter Bassin and can't wait for better weather and warmer water,..hard 2 resist the docks and tossin towards a fallen tree and what not,..it'll be nice 2 finally pull some Bass that are lurking there!

Nice hookemdanno,..I also love Bassin in small Ponds/Lakes,..not 2 keen on the Float Tube though,..I'm still thinking on purchasing a Pontoon with a Custom Casting Deck,..I like that idea better,..and this way I can get out on the smaller Pond/Lakes especially if I know that Bass are present,..but that's just me,..I have a Private Lake that BIG-BASS are in,..I only maybe fish it 4 times a year,..you can't get 2 the Bass from the dock or any part of the shoreline so the Pontoon's gonna be perfect! Caught my PB-LMB on said waters!hookemdanno wrote:I finally bought a fish finder for my float tube this year for just that reason.
