Report Confirmation Alert.

Post by Dave » Mon Feb 02, 2009 9:01 pm

I noticed when I submitted my lake report tonight that it was not followed by a confirmation notice or alert telling me that the report was successfully submitted. So, I re-submitted my report and again no confirmation. It’s not a big deal but I thought someone should be aware of it. If it's an issue, hopefully this note will help decrease future double posts. Thanks Guys. Have a good week.

Dave,

I dont have a report from you in the system. What lake was it for and aprox how long before you noticed it did you make the forum post about it being a problem? This post was made a 9:01... and approx 8:30 - 8:40ish I uploaded some new fixes which MIGHT have cause some interruptions..

I'll go post a few dummy reports and see if I can notice any problems.

Hi Aaron,

Sorry for my late reply to this forum. Right after I sent the report last Monday 2-2-09 I noticed I didn't see the following message that follows submitting a report;

"Thank You For Your Report

Reader's reports are what make this site possible.

Your report will be posted soon"

I'm going to try re-posting it again to see what happens. Thanks again Aaron.

Re-posted the report a few minutes ago and this time did get the thank you confirmation. I'm guessing the problem was at my end. Thanks again.

As far as "Double Posts" go, I have found that if you refresh you browser window when you post, each time you refresh it will post another copy.
