Fished that river many times and Alaska and the Platte cannot hold a candle to the Kenai or many other AK rivers. The Platt will never kick out 20 pounders like AK. I hate articles like this that glorify huge fish, numbers and no fisherman. You should see the greyreef at prime time, elbow to elbow. Do not get me wrong that river is AWESOME!!

Are you sure you want to move to Rock Springs???????? April first my wife and I were stuck in Rock Springs for the day because I-80 was closed due to weather and a 15 car/truck pileup. The temperature being a whopping -4 made for an interesting start for my cummins diesel. I love this state but i don't think I would love to live here. I'll just pass thru and fish when the weather is better.

I'm with stampie on this are you sure.My older brother lives in Pine Bluffs,I spent some time there when I was a kid on Christmas break from school.Down right the coldest miserable weather I have ever been in.I would rather be stuck in Spokane in shorts around Dec or Jan.Than have to be that cold againBut some folks like that bitter cold weather.I guess I am not one of them.
