Any Sekiu Reports?

Post by BARCHASER10 » Thu Apr 07, 2016 11:06 am

My buddy and I are thinking about a trip to Sekiu next week. The on line fishchecker reports look OK but I thought I'd ask and see if anybody has any more info.

Thanks

Mason-Olson Resort facebook page seems to get a regular amount of fish pics. Maybe a call up to them would be worthwhile. Although a fishing report from where you launch and purchase bait / lodging from I've found can get a little misleading.

I do check out the Olsons page now and then. They show some fish pics. But not exactly an objective source!

For what this is worth. Last September we caught about 8 each 22" blackmouth up at Sekiu/neah bay last year. Of course this was not during the allowed season and throw them back. We were trolling for silvers and kept hooking up on them on accident.

This might be a sign of heathy blackmouth season to come. But I really don't know much about their migrating habits. Just a thought...
