Bass in the Okanogan River
How would you go about catching bass in the okanogan river, do you just use curly tail grubs all day or is there differnt lures for differnt times of the day. If so what are they.

RE:Bass in the Okanogan River
I've done some river fishing for smallmouth over the years but not in the okanogan...
My favorite lures were small rapalas (the long thin ones.. the originals) and small spinner baits... green
was always my favorite...
would mostly cast upstream and reel back in.....
on warm days I would always look for a shady spot.. seems like smallmouth like to
avoid the sun if possible.... would sometimes pull 2 or 3 out of one little patch of shade....

Fish doesn't smell "fishy" because it's fish. Fish smells "fishy" when it's rotten.

RE:Bass in the Okanogan River
I grew up in Okanogan and never bass fished as a kid. Now that I bass fish I hit the river whenever I go back. The mouth at the Columbia is good. Really anywhere is good. Tubes, jigs (and piggies), worms, craws, floating rapalas (early). Good luck.
