Post by Jipper » Thu Feb 21, 2013 3:18 pm

Is it just me or were the trout at Rufus woods a lot bigger, last time I remember they were being caught in the 10 to 15 lb range and people being able to limit out faster? :-k

As a general rule most of what I've seen are in the 4 to 7 pound range when fishing around the pens. When you get down near the dam they get smaller and smaller. I know some of the guys land some big ones trolling the bouy line but you have to go through a lot of 12 14 inchers to find them....

Well they released half mil or so last summer to save them from suffocating, I think you're gonna see a lot of sizes from dinks to monsters. Weather matters, I never seem to have much luck during a storm. Stable pressure seems to be about the best for the trout bite.
