Spokane river smallies

I know you trout fanatics won't like this, but whether you like it or not the upper Spokane river is becoming a great smallmouth fishery.
Check out the 17" smallie from this Sunday, on the fishing report page.

LOL, they have been there for a long time, especially below the Dam in Idaho. Most don't catch them because they don't take small flies very well.

With the Catch and Release rules in place, they should just about eat out the Red Bands in a couple of years.:-"
