Has anybody caught any crayfish yet?..........

So, is that a pic. of one you caught this year? How many inches?, I assume it was in the Sammy slough?

No, I didn't catch tat one. Just thought I'd poast it cause it was a cool picture. The ones I have caughten in the slough do look just like that though

so what do you like/prefer touse for yor bait? im just in the middle of building my traps.

Well, I have tried salmon clippings that I got form QFC that I had little results with. They seemed unfresh andd they were from finland. I am going to try local fresh salmon heads next time if I can find some I called four stores a few days ago and noone had any. I also have heard any fish from the body of water you are putting your traps in work well. The only time I have eaten them is when I got some from Johnny's seafood down in Tacoma, and they were not very good. I think it was because this weird seasoning that looked and smelled like ground up cat food. I have caughten a couple at a time before in the slough, and bear creek wich runs through redmond. One time I pullled up my pants in the slough and waded and caught around 5 in 10 minutes after catching one 2" after an all night soak, go figure.

i had best luck on cat food. way cleaner, i think i use trout flavour

I saw a buoy at Lake Sixteen the other day while folks were fishin in their boat nearby. I'm guessing it was a craw fish pot. Unsure of their results. I need to set some pots this year. I know they are good eats!

ive only went once last year. that was at lake perrygin. had a great time
