Senko for me. I've even caught a trout with one. Green pumpkin and baby bass are my top colors.

Shad Rap in WAlley pattern by Rapala.

I don't know why... but I've been killing them with this in lakes w/out Walley:

that or a Rebel Top Popper when the conditions are right.

Or a dropshot plastic worm when conditions are right...

It used to be 4" chartruse curley tail grub on a jighead for SMB (probably still is for eastern Washington), now it's a 5" senko wacky rigged weightless on a finesse hook.
I have a lot of "favorites", but among them are trout colored rapalas, a bass colored popper, and a black and yellow Panther martin spinner.
My all time favorite is whatever is working at the time!

mine would have to be the money shot for smallies on the drop shot.
And for largies either a senko or a 4in curl tail berkely worm
Puts big fish in the boat for some reason with the small bait

funny thing is i've had more luck getting them to bite on either a bass look alike (like this) or lures that dont' match anything in the water, than small perch and stuff that ARE in the water...

Jerry likes fishing frogs unless I'm with him - then he hates them because I jinx his frog and it catches nothing :-({|=

I'll always be particular to buzzbaits. Growing up in GA, a buzzbait was by far my go-to lure almost any time. Them southern bass will demolish a buzz.
LOL Aaron...you put the bad mojo on my frogs when we fish. [-x I don't think I'll even bother with em if you're around
