You'd have to make sure the lead is very hot (glowing), the mold is also hot to the touch, and the pour is done at a slow rate. Otherwise, the collar will not be fully formed. That is one of the reasons I like to pour roundheads with no collar. I can't even remember the last time I had a defect... :-k
When does your shop open again?:-"
And how about the catalog?

Evergreen Bass Club usually has a lure making party in the early winter, and we all get together with the different molds, and pour plastics and jigs / weights. Between the members we have nearly every different jig / weight / plastic molds. One of the perks about being a member of a good club.

Yes, I expect nothing less than getting guff from a Hawghunter! I have heard nothing but good things about the club :^o LOL I did not make it to Banks, and may never because it is my sons birthday on the 26th, so it does not work real well. Anyway, some of the guys from the club went, and they got the typical small fish that the lake usually gives up. I did manage to make it to Moses the week before and had a great time with lots of fish.

I am sure that the fish will be in their summer pattern by then. All of the fish should be done spawning, and on the recovery, where they will be eating machines. Have a good time, as I am sure there will be some decent bags weighed in. I bet a lot of fish will be on the deeper tules....
