Looks like you guys are going to have warm weather this weekend for your tournament. It also sounds like the other club's tournament a couple weeks ago caught alot of tigers even with the bad weather they had. I think I heard the moon should be in the right phase this weekend so you guys should have good luck. The 509ers should have an advantage on their home waters but I know you ALL will have fun.

Hey All,

Things are looking good! There has been a lot of interest shown in the TIGER PAC..."Silver Lake Adventure"...LOL...Heck, last week alone we had over 8000 "Page Views" on our NW TIGER PAC website!
www.nwtigermuskies.org
This is outstanding. I hope all the viewers don't show up at Silver Lake...hmmm, that could be a problem. Thanks, to those who "check-out" the website every now and then. We do our best to keep it updated and going strong...it is a never ending process. Our numbers continue to grow etc...I am hoping this is due to the fact that there is a lot more interest being generated in Washington State about our Tiger Muskie Fishery. I am thinking the more numbers we generate (shows support) the better fishery we can produce for all of anglers who enjoy this sport...men, women, and children alike.

I have heard from a few anglers, members and non-members, that are heading over to the "Eastside" as early as this evening to take advantage of the many types of fishing offered over that way. Oh yeah, did someone say Walleye! :fish: Rosann, We definitely want to come over to your "new place" and spend some time Walleye fishing with you and "The Big Guy;)" Maybe I will drag a few stragglers over with me also! If that is alright with you...LOL...Any chance We will see you two this weekend? We miss you two!...You truly are two of the finest people we have ever had the pleasure to have met and I am thankful for that opportunity just in case I have never told you before. This is just one of the many positives in joining the NW TIGER PAC...the members are great! Good members, Great friends!...anyway...See you soon.

I am really looking forward to this weekend. I spent most of last week out in the driveway just getting the boat ready for her 2010 "maiden voyage":) Added a few new "toys" again this year...I will have to get a larger boat soon just so I can keep adding "stuff" to it...LOL... I really like my old "Alumacraft"... I have many fond memories of the many, many hours my Father and I spent fishing muskies in it back on the "Big Chip" etc...If you all have children don't let this experience escape you...take a kid fishing. My Father passed-on to that "big fishing hole in the sky" some years ago, but my memories of him and myself fishing will live on as long as I'm on this Earth.

I will see you all at the Holiday Inn Express in Cheney on Friday, my friends. Let's have a good time, enjoy each others company, fishing, and the weekend!

Fish On!

Bill and I drove over to Cheney and Spokane this afternoon to sit in on the awards for the Chapter 57 Open tournament held today on Silver lake. First we visited the White Elephant store that we had heard so much about. Bought some fishing stuff and looked for hip waders but didn't find what we needed in that department.#-o Some good prices though. We then drove over to the Holiday Inn in Cheney for the awards meeting. Found out about another store in Spokane that we will have to visit next time we are over that way. Sounded like everyone had a good time, and a few people got sunburns.:-({|= It was good to visit with old friends and meet a bunch of new people too. Got to finally meet Marc Martyn as he and Don W. paired up to fish the Open. Looking forward to viewing that video of today that you said you'd be posting on WL.com. Alot of Tiger Muskie enthusiasts over here too. Sounds like a new east side club might be in the making from the buzz going on in the room. There were a number of different people talking about how to start one as I wandered around.
So much for the moon phase thing, I'll let the people with all the names and statistics post results when they get home.

I'll leave the technical details to the pros as to how the day went. The weather was perfect and everyone had a good time. I was able to capture video of the one and only qualifying and winning fish along with the WDFW certification.

Jani took some wonderful still photos of the day and is going to send them to me. When I have those and other details I'll begin to edit the footage, format it and upload it to Youtube. Mike will then load it onto the site.

Chapter 57 is truly a group of wonderful people. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and visiting with many of you. I want to express my sincere thanks to Don Wittenberger for allowing a "rookie" to tag along. I really enjoyed the day and learned a lot.

So good to have Marc aboard; got some "derby tipping" pictures of him & and Don; historic!

"There is a good quote below Marc Martyns signature:

When It Comes Down To It....
It Is Really Up To The Fish

Sage comment. And true.
Moon-set was off, even tho the date followed a New Moon on the 13th.
A few of the friendly lakeside homeowners came down to their docks to say hi and reported that the water temps went up suddenly and a few days ago the lake turned over. Not a pretty site for an angler; the usually crystal-clear lake turned muddy, with a blender full of former bottom vegetation.
Herb saved the day from a skunk with about 15 minutes to go and pulled and released a 37 inch beauty; very healthy, too.
Congrats!

I know President Buddy will have lots more to add, when he gets back from fishing with Brett. We all met some fantastic anglers and yes, Rosann is right; there are MANY tiger muskie fans on the Eastside! Looking forward to a New Chapter in the future!
A special "hi" to Melodie and Craig, looking forward to seeing everyone real soon.
And Mike Haw and I got some wonderful shots of fishing, just not catching. Will post asap.
