tied some giant 6" intruder variations to slaughter some spring kings! now if i can just make some time to go fishing...

what size hooks you running off of those

those are tied on tubes.
so i'll be using size 2 gamakatsu octupus with it.

I'm considering a weekend trip to a BC Canada fishing trip sometime soon...but we'll see. Just gotta find the time :/ With work and other obligations, It's hard to set aside a weekend to fish these days.

i would use maybe a red #1 or 1/0

With those style flies you don't want to run big hooks off them. Besides, your have just as many hookups with size 2 as you will 1/0. Bigger hooks doesn't always mean more hook-ups.

Anway, real nice flies. I'm a fan of the Intrider series aswell.

thanks SAPIplate, i had the pleasure of having jerry french show me the ways of the intruder. Apparently he will be staying in WA this year so I'll hopefully get a date set to get out with him.
