With all this rain, you might plan on lake fishing instead. That's what I'm doing. Minter or Mud Bay might be an option too

One can always get spooled by the log that is floating by.:dwarf:
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

With the snow levels low, if you get high on the river you should be in good shape.

No offense, but fishing rivers this blown out is a stupid and dangerous idea. Unless you load up on scent and bait or attach a strobe light to your Kwikfish, it's unlikely you'll catch much of anything. Not to mention logs and stuff floating down, aswell as unseen holes and obstructions since you can't see into the water (personal experience on that one).

You could give Hoodsport and a few areas around there a try. Then you don't have to worry about the river being blown out.

justin, I fished Kennedy today at low tide and caught an ok looking hen. I kept her, she gave me the eye. :chef:
I hope Nisqually gets back into shape, when I drove by it on Wednesday, it was very high and dirty. :cyclopsan

Im gonna hit the carbon tomorrow. I only got a few jobs and Im working in orting. I think around voights creek will be ok there. Im hoping to get a late run coho. Stealies should be running soon too. For those of you that think fishing blown rivers is soo bad. Shorten your leaders 3 ft or less. Add more weight 1 oz will slow ya down usually sometimes more if its still too fast. Look for changes in the water. Fish em. They are there still.
More fish please!

I'm heading out to Chico Creek tomorrow morning. High tide is at 9AM, so I'l be there at 7AM to get in on the incoming tide. They were in there thick a couple of weeks ago, but I don't know what it will be like tomorrow. If not there, then I will be at "the spot" at the Skok.
