There is also a spot about 20 yards further up where the depth drops to 15 ft theres a large drain pipe under water there witch normally has a nice fish hanging around!

We had a great and memorable trip. Fishing was excellent....no real hawgs but caught
plenty of fish and the crappie bite was on fire, couldn't keep those guys off the line.
The bass bite was great too,I'm not sure if they are in the fall feeding frenzy yet but
they are certainly biting. They really seem to enjoy a mixture of things....spinnerbaits,cranks
and even a few smaller ones on jigs.
Thanks again folks.....we'll be back here again, hopefully sooner rather then later.
This spots pretty good too!:compress:
Nice fish,I got to know this spot just a little bit. I lost a black spinnerbait about 20ft back and just a couple feet
from the shoreline. Those pads don't discriminate.

That Zantac works for me every time my stomach gets churned up about some "secret spot" or some "secret technique" that was posted on the 'net. It's fishing...lighten up. BTW, thanks flippinfool. You are always one to share...and I appreciate it.

I do not have heartburn. Tnj8222 I said where not how and I will not be posting any other spots.Put a pattern together and you can catch fish anywhere on that lake ,its full of structure just ask AMX.In fact that holds true in any lakes you already know this Tnj.A lot of people think that its all secret spots that catch the big ones and i know your not one of those people.I grew up in Maryland fishing the Potomac river its one of the Bass elite trail stops.Awesome place to fish. When i began fishing here i thought it would be easy,I was never so wrong . It took me alot time and frustration .Thank God for the bass fishing community. If it wasnt for guys like Dez and David Watkins I would probably still be lost.Dont be afraid to ask somebody. There are alot of good anglers on this site utilize them. Knowledge is power and this holds true with anything including fishing. Tnj if you ever wanna go fishing hit me up and we will go .Take care Phil:cheers:

Anyone been out on Silver in the last week or so?
I'm debating on drifting back down here for a quick weekend trip or sticking it out
on more familiar waters. Call me crazy but I don't expect the same results as my previous trip...
that had a ton of dumb luck but I'll take it any day.:-"

I was out there for crappie last week. Went into the canal and theyre stacked in there but couldn't find any of size, most were from 8-9 inches. The 9 inchers we did catch were white crappie and slender so back they went into the water. Didn't try for bass or out in the southern end for crappie or perch since the big motor wouldn't get into gear, time to get a 4 stroke.

Thanks jb...yeah,the first of October had crappie all over the lake.It was loads of fun,I couldn't
find an unproductive spot.
If we do end up going this weekend,we'll probably be fishing for everything but naturally
being here, bass would certainly be at the top of the list. By any chance did you get water temp?
No biggie...just curious what the temps have lowered too.

No worries,I'm still on the fence of heading down this weekend or not.
I will be giving Silver a try through the winter,I figure if anything else...might
be a quiet outing on the water

Yeah I was surprised that there were only 2 boats on the launch, us and another boat last Friday. Every other time going down there it was packed.
