lake McMurray last year trout fishin with a buddy. i just caught a trout and was in the middle of letting him go, nice lip set, when i was holding him in the water waiting for him to kick away when my buddy yells "look out behind you". I let go of the trout and turned around when all i could see was to huge claws and a giant wing span about 20 yards from me. I laid back in the boat as the bald eagle swerved just the slightest to miss me and took the fish right from the top of the water! i felt the wind from his massive wings when he went around me . what a rush! the bald eagle stuck around and buzzed us everytime a fish was on the line. another story was 3 bears within 15 feet but thats hunting. i love wild animals!

That Eagle experiance would be a great thing to see.

I caught a seagull once. Image Had witnesses, but no camera in the boat. A family of otters showed up on Sawyer yesterday morning. One was on an old dock and didn't like me getting too close, so hissed at me and splashed into the water. Think I'll go try to catch one tomorrow morning. Image Image Can only fish for a few hours, seems I also have a bad battery that doesn't last too long when ya have to move the boat all over the lake on the electric motor only. I was working on the batteries until late last night, cleaning and changing connectores on 3 wires, including the main pos lead to the cranking battery. The bad battery still isn't taking a full charge even when a different charger is hooked to it.

Oh ya. I saw a deer swim across Tanwax years ago. Some teens in a row boat was hasseling it, and some guy in another boat hollered at them to back off or he'd 'hassle' them. They backed off.

smaller and spooked easily. If only they could all be like this.#-o

Have you checked the fluid level in the batt? That was my issue last year.

Can't, it's a Optima Blue Top, only 1 1/2 years old. Bought 3, 1 was bad and wouldn't even take a charge at all, this is the replacement, it's not taking a full charge, not charging to full 13 plus volts. It's getting to high 11.7 or so. After getting home the other day it was down to 8 volts, today it was down to 9 volts. The other one is at 12 plus volts.
