Soooooo, it sounds like you all had fun at Merwin, post some pics and the results for everyone to see. I hear there were two women anglers that caught fish and Mike F. won again. It sure is his year but then he puts in alot of time on the water. Congrats to you Mike and to all who caught fish.

Seriously. Mike is dominating. I think we need to make it fair for everyone else and only he can use a row boat. Yes post some pictures and some specs on the fish. I have asked twice and no response. Brett's looked huge:cheers:
RE:merwin
Just when I thought that Curlew was my favorite lake.... Merwin Rocks! LOL!!!
What a hoot. For those chapter members who missed this one - it was awesome. The fish were everywhere and biting like crazy.
Mary was out for her 1st time muskie fishing with hubby Miles and the luck, no SKILL was with her: she landed a cute little 21 incher! ANY muskie on your first day is a sign of great things to come, eh Mary? No photo this time; next time!
Mike H. caught a 34 incher - no picture but we insisted he enter it in the National Musky Log because EVERY fish over 30 inches counts and we want to show all 50 chapters who has the most tigers in the tank... erg...so to speak.
Mike Floyd brought in a NICE 37 and a 39 incher - doubling has become a norm for him! And Brett landed the biggest esox of the day with a mighty long and thick 44 incher. The tourney was great - love it when so many people catch fish - it is electric, lol. And the biggest news of all--Russ lost a 40" at the boat! Yes, he had his first ever Muskie on the line and almost into the net!
And we welcomed newcomer Montesano Bob and his family. Good times around the campfire, too- the skies were brilliant with a thousand stars overhead, the crackle of the fire, the sounds of crickets and a bark eating beetle that Brett wanted to stomp and the sound of peels of laughter hour after hour as the tales grew bigger and bigger. The only thing that pierced the darkness was Gar snoring now and then...now and then.
Fun-loving, good-natured anglers who love to laugh and "share the fire" and share a gourmet potluck after a long day on the water, almost as much as they love to fish. It does not get any better than this. Except next year, next year, we want Norm, DJ, & Dennis Jr. back safe from the Middle East and around that same camp fire. And you, too, Dennis Sr. & Don W.!!
And I was finally blessed by the muskies gods and caught and released a beautiful 36 incher, with the help of my excellent net man, Brett and guide Mike H. Thanks gentlemen! Oh yeah, thanks, too, to bad esox for letting me steal the boat in the predawn hours on Sunday, after the tournament.

Tiger Muskies are sterile.
You can't keep them under 50 inches:
Let them do their job: Eating N.P.Minnows

WOW......
Those are some good looking fish guys. Glad to see you all having such a great time and enjoying this awesome fishery we all share in the Great North West. Of course DJ and I will be there next year if all continues to go well. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact the KUP got fish......LOL. Good job girl.
Again, good job guys. I was holding my breath on this one knowing there are some large fish in that lake......No reason.. Hahahahaaa.
See you all soon

Yes please do let us know what you find. Also if you need any help at all, funding or man power we would gladly help out in any way that we can. Thanks for the post and all your hard work with the WDFW.
