I have a map on my computer of Lake Ki with some points marked and some pointers if you want it. It's kinda basic, with namely dropoffs and humps marked but it's a good starting spot.

RE:lake Ki bass tips
any help with this lake is great. the map is a great idea and i will try to locate one. I dont have a depth finder and it makes my fishing a little more caveman. I have used alot of worm colors and have only had one bite and luckily got the fish, 5lb bucket mouth! I have tried variety of spinners and no luck. Threw on a crank bait and got around 4 10 incher bass, but thats it. have seen some very impressive bass swim by.

Any way you could post the map up for everyone to get a look at it?

Thanks Travis. For you guys that fish this area regularly, What would be a better choice for fishing the week after Labor Day, Goodwin or Ki? I will be over to fish the Skagit and am looking for options after I get my limit

Goodwin receives alot of boating pressure from pleasure boaters but it has much more potential for "size"...Ki might be more fun for you since it's so much smaller but still gives you opportunities. Like Woody said, Ki can yield some larger fish. It's all about knowing where the majority will be on that given day.

RE:lake Ki bass tips
the week after labor day? if thats what im understanding. all kids are in school and both lakes should be alot less crowded. Lake Ki has some monster because I have seen them with my own eyes and have caught one, luckily. Lake Goodwin I havent fished much do to the high traffic and the boat launch fees. Honestly i have had tough times fishing both, probably just me. My favorite catching lake with similar waters as Ki and Goodwin is Lake Howard which is west of Goodwin a few miles. Quiet lake, easy launch, bass a plenty, and I have also seen what looked to be around 20" or big boys swimming around there. hope that's helpful. oh almost forgot lake Howard is electric motors only. since your coming from the skagit you probably have a gas motor. lake Goodwin is a state park launch so its easy. Lake Ki is a very long running shallow launch right on the hwy.
