potential world record caught in Japan

Oh man SONNN, this is old news.
No really, I just forgot to post it here. I've been in shock since the moment I heard. But I don't think he'll get the IGFA World Record. That fish is only 1 oz. bigger than the current record and you need to have 2 oz. on an existing record to beat it. Weird rule really, but that is the rule. So, I'm sure they'll find some reason to maintain the old record. To me, some people in the fishing world just don't want that record to be taken down. I hope he get's it. He put in the work. I'm just thankful that he appears to be a true fisherman and not just someone who got lucky.
