Quick question on Lake Twelve....it has REALLY exceptional trout fishing for quantity, not necessarily quality (size)]

my experience has been the EXACT Opposite of what you just said. I have caught small bass, crappie, blue gill, sunfish, but NO TROUT and i have been to this lake probably 5 times since they stocked it in March...

supposedly, an 11lb smallie came out of Twelve last fall. i didn't see it though.

I did locate the spawning beds and that was cool, first time i've ever seen that anywhere.

Dustin my man, someone is seriously yankin' your chain on that one! No way in hell an 11lb smallie is coming out of any of these lakes. If an 11lb smallie even exists I think Tag's probably keeping that secret to himself, so he can pair it up with his 11lb largie and have couple of replica bookends made!

Maybe that was 1.1 or .11oz----Tag would totally be the man to have it...probably caught on a frog from fishing over 50' depth cause the moon match the orion orbital patterns and the moon was an inch closer to earth and the saturn pluto temp effected the earths cooler thermal molecular structure#-o something like that..

I will be up the Hanford Reach on Saturday. Hopefully I make it back to Columbia Point with a big bag. On Time!

I could swear I read it right here on WaLakes but now I can't find it in the reports or in the forum. Whatever it was, I know the guy said it was a beast but they had no weigh of getting it to an official scale so they released it by the beaver dams. Could have been fibbing though

I would never question you Dustin! Let's just say that.....well that would destroy the state record, and I think the world record, though I can't recall right now what that actually is. At any rate, I'd be afraid to swim in water that held an 11 lb smallie, he'd probably eat me! Even if he didn't actually do it, I bet you any amount of money he'd believe he could! I've had a 4 lb smallie swim out and "bump" my dog because he got too close to it's bed, and my dog weighs 75 lbs.....and that's no fish story dude! :cyclopsan

I thought that the record was 11lb 4ounce for some reason, but here is what i just found on a quick search (washington state):

BASS
largemouth bass 11 lbs. 9 oz.
smallmouth bass 8 lbs. 12 oz.

Sorry Dez no can do, but I do have a custom sheepshead (straight from Lake Erie) Swimbait in the works for you my man! LOL!!!! Seriously though, that "big one" was the first and when i caught it, I put it in the livewell (hoping it wouldn't get sucked out the vent) because I had to show my wife, then I couldn't believe it when I caught the next one right after that! We all had a good laugh, glad I could share it with all you yahoos, I'm sure it will find a way to come back and bite me in the behind, in no time flat! :P

Hey David - Those greenies look like lunkers compared to the very first bass I caught at Alice Lake. It was 4 1/4 inches (carefully measured) and hit a size 11 Rapala which is 4 3/8 inches.
