I just thought it was funny how you guys were saying you prefer your worm to have a different color flake. In my opinion lingcod really could care less.
Where light doesn't reach bottom, vibe + smell + Glow (color) works. All depends on the situation. Nice work on opener again ll, I gotta post a keeper by friday for sure!! bounce

I saw Jose down at the end of the dock....He wasn't doing to good, Just one bite and no fish up until the time I left. I passed the wheelchair guy when he was coming up the dock as I was walking out. I think I'll wait for the salmon to start before I get to serious down there. I might rig up for some of those little perch. They reminded me of fishing off the bridge at Ouyhut near Ocean Shores for Anchovies. They are great fried in butter! Hope to see you down there, Steve

Went today, nice weather after noon, but no lings....
I really want to throw up my video also, just can't seem to find the right editing software to bleep out the bad parts..!!!

Nice video Mike and Aaron. I really enjoyed it, however my wife still says I'm not fishing this sunday.
I can't think of anything better than a lingcod trip for mothers day

There was actually 4 of us. 4 lings from 27-31 inches and a 15# Halibut. Sea bass.....I think not!!!! The picture for them will come next week. I leave for Neah Bay tommorrow morning!!!!!!! I will be posting pics for Swede when I get back the following monday

The weekend in review:
A beautiful morning at the rocks.... not too many fish though:
Decent sized copper:
Even better! (pushing 6#):

Fishon!......
AND its a pig!
End of the weekend:
Great weekend, tons of action and a HUGE pod of Orcas completely surrounded us today, porpoising 10-20 feet from the boat at times, WILD! Fun stuff, enjoy.

I was laughin my ass off when i saw you had censored the background. Nice catch. I'm impressed you catch lings that deep in the Islands. I'm a 25-90' kinda guy. Guess i'll have to explore some new tactics. Thus, what this web site is all about, the sharing of info and tecniques. Thanks for the info and reports liteline.

All of our fish came from 70' - 150' on rootbeer colored swimbaits. Mostly small fish around lummi rocks, got a few real nice ones at Peapod and also down near the south end of Lummi offshore on a steep bank we stumbled upon.....

Dang...Nice fish boys! I'm sittin hear cryin'. Only two days out, and nothing to speak of. Flippin work and weather, not working in my favor this year. Still plenty of time though...
I might have to not check this thread for a week or so, until I can get on some keepers. Painful.....
good work again....looks like some people are eatin fresh ling...
