At times, I use it more in the postspawn here in perch patterns. Definetly need to use with a little chop in the water.

I have alot of success using jerkbaits this time of year. When the bass are staging in 10' - 15' I like to use a Staycee, and when they are in 10' or less or in the docks, I use a pointer DD 78 to work the 5'-10' depth range. - Best Dave.

Hi Dez, yeah I'll be there, I was out yesterday, I was the only trailer at Coulon, can't say that's ever happened in May before! :) On the flipside, the run from Juanita to Renton in a full on rain storm wasn't really alot of fun, but I tagged two toads (4 & 6)! Saw your post that you guys bagged a quick limit the other day, nice work! Based on what I've been hitting pre-fishing there are definitely going to be some 18-20lb sacks weighed in! The canals are loaded, but they will get absolutely hammered as you know!

Nice work out there bro , and i wish the best of luck to ya out there .. It's always just blows my mind to see all those boats come through the canals . I wonder what the home owners are saying every year this happens ..lol Last year our limit came out of there but this year we are changing up things a little . And yes i agree that there will be a few 20 sacs on the scales . the greenies are up and biting (know that for a fact) .. Make sure you look for me at the boaters meeting ! good luck again bro ! :bounce:

Thanks Dez! Hoping for a better showing than we had at Banks (ouch!), and I freaking love that place in April! My two had a "greenish" tint to them yesterday as well. Best of luck to you guys on Sat! I'll be guiding on Washington on Sunday for the Seahawks charity event as part of Cast for Kids as well, so that should be cool too! But probably tough to follow a 120+ boat tourney of great fisherman with a Sunday outing but we'll give it our best! I'll find you at the drivers meeting and say Hi! Go get em!

Hey Davidwat1,

Can you post a pic (or PM me) of that pig where the angle is such that shoreline is visible in the background instead of your triton floor? :-" :cyclopsan

JK, but seriously! :clown: :colors:

Nice fish!

yeah I know and I apologize, that's not a great picture and I didn't post a report for it. Soon as the tourney is over, I'll post the pic of me attempting to hold it out far enough away from me with one hand and taking a picture of it with the other...wasn't easy, I actually laid her down on the deck for two seconds to adjust my grip to try another pic, but she just froze in place (her mouth is still open) against the bump board, so I decided to grab a quick shot since it was the only view to show that I was using a volleyball for bait and she swallowed it whole! :) Full report and pic that reveals exact location will come right after the tourney is over...i promise!
