We're actually forming a BASS chapter specifically for tubers and pontooners. http://www.psftc.com/ - it's still being worked on and coming together slowly, still have lots of content to add to it. The message board is http://www.psftc.com/boards so come by and join us if you're interested.

The plan is to spend this year working out the details, the kinks, spreading the word, and getting as many people interested as possible. Fish a lot, laugh a lot, and launch everything in 2010 with tournaments, regular group fishing trips, the whole nine yards.

You should join us, dude. You'll have a blast.
Absolutely take a look. As the year progresses I only see the club gaining in momentum. It is going to be an exciting time and can't wait to get out on the water with everyone. Save the float tube ... save the world!!! See now the voices in my head are really taking over ... laughs! Looking forward in seeing you out there on Saturday tnj8222!
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

Just to let everyone know, so far we've only mentioned PSFTC on WA Lakes. We weren't even planning on mentioning the website until it was fully functional, but since the message boards will be the main method of discussion for club members we went ahead and mentioned it. We won't make an "official" announcement until the site is fully operational, all the content is active, etc. Then we'll be spreading the word everywhere we can.

We could easily have 20 active members by Jan 1 when we "go live" as a BASS chapter. Anything more than that is bonus, and obviously finding core members on WA Lakes is a great benefit for us because the people here are serious about their fishing. Get a core group of serious float tubers together and it's going to keep growing, definitely.

Well, two days away. Seems like a nice little turnout for the first club trip. Looking forward to fishing with everyone (and Aaron in a couple weeks).

I haven't been in the tube this season or fished since last fall because of school. The day should start something like this...

Where's Suzanne? "Um, screwing around with her new fish finder."

Where's Suzanne now? "I don't know. Snagged or backlash."

Where the he!! is Suzanne? "She had to pee, again."

Are there good directions to bass lake in the lake index ? I don't know if I'll be attending, but I've heard about the lake. You guys should catch fish.

Mmmmm .. peanut butter cookies ... hopefully not recalled ... lol. Here is the write up on the lake in the lake index ...

http://www.washingtonlakes.com/LakeInfo.aspx?id=430&t=1

King County's Bass Lake covers 24 surface acres and has a maximum depth of about 40 feet. This stained water lake contains largemouth bass, yellow perch, black crappie and sunfish. Some real nice sized bass and perch. I've caught bass to 21 inches and perch to about 12 inches. This is a very good lake to fish early in the season -- March and April. Later in the season it becomes quite weedy and difficult to fish. Public access is provided by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The large access area has lots of parking space and a rough gravel boat launching area that is best suited for hand carried craft. To get there from Black Diamond, travel south on Highway #169 about 4 miles to the WDFW access on the right.
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

One more day! Fishing reports look good ... may be a bit chilly first thing in the morning ... temps scheduled for 36 at 6:00 but the day should find a high of 62. Recommend dressing warm for the morning half of the day. Can't wait to get on the water with everyone tomorrow!

There is just something different being up a personal with the bass when you catch it from the tube. This was my fish from the tube last night, 3.5 pounder...
