muskie school success

Post by Rosann G » Sat Apr 04, 2009 8:48 pm

Muskie's Inc. Chapter 57 had a great time putting on the first ever muskie school in the state of Washington today. Thank you to everyone that helped and all of the students that came. We had all ages learning about the elusive tiger muskie. It was a full day of valuable information about what to use, how, when and where to fish on all seven lakes. The pool demo was a huge success showing presentation of multiple lures by Brett and Mike. You did great guys!

Wow what great day for Musky fishing here in the great NW.

We started off the day next to the pool were two great musky fisher man showed us all some great lure presentations. It’s amazing to see what you can make a lure do when you know what you’re doing. Next we moved into the conference room where several other top notch anglers shared some do and don’t about fishing for our toothy friends here in the Washington. After Lunch, Mr. Larry Ramsell gave us a presentation of a life time by sharing his knowledge musky fishing history and how we got were we are today. Truly remarkable, Thanks Larry…..
Our day ended with a once over of all the lakes currently holding Musky and of course the WDFW came through once again with a great presentation to ensure all of us that I fish are doing well
Now it's time to but this new learned tactics to use.

Thanks again.......

Wow! That surpassed all expectations! What a great bunch of anglers, what an awesome team of volunteers.
Larry Ramsell was one of a kind; what experience and what a memory; worth the wait to finally get to meet him. He is as awesome and as genuine off the water as he is on.
Kudos to Muskie School Chairman Bill and Rosann :king: :queen: ...could NOT have done this without all your hard work and long hours making sure every detail was covered. Bill: the Red Lund KNOWS Lake Tapps; all of the attendees were grateful for your information. Rosann even left the seminar to go get the hot catered food. You Rock!

Buddy, Perry, Tammy, Russ:     All the set-up and take down, all the hard work: We did it! What an amazing team to work with; I am speechless. Well, no, that’s not going to happen. LOL
Norm: You saved the day, seriously!!! You are the new IT guy & I owe you a big bag of cookies at Curlew.:bounce:
Special merit: Mr. Bruce Bolding from WDFW, again, most informative; always glad to have you in the house, thanks for taking the time to come see us! :salut:
Mr. Don Wittenberger; always eager to get your years of experience and vast knowledge on some of our best Tiger Lakes: Mayfield, Evergreen, and your home stomping grounds: Merwin Reservoir. :study: :study:
Pierce County Deputy Minion: Boaters Safety Program- Thank you for the presentation; it is serious out there, especially on busy lakes in the heat of the summer; valuable input for everyone present. Be safe out there! :safe:

And last, but not least; to Brett Olson and Mike Floyd: You went where no one had gone before: to the POOL!
We hope it was as much fun for you as it was for us watching. What a great tool; live action of different lures and how they are to be presented! :thumleft: :thumleft:
It’s a first for the TIGER PAC, a first in Washington and certainly a first for the Holiday Inn Express.
And of course the sponsors for the day were excellent!
HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS: LOVES muskie anglers & they are 10 minutes from Lake Tapps
RANGER BOATS was very generous to bring by their 2009 620 Multi species and had everyone drooling all day; NICE RIDE plus they generously donated to the Raffle table!
FRABILL NETS: Best for the fish, best for the angler!

Larry Ramsell helped to make all this happen and we appreciate his dedication to Muskies, Inc and the time he took from his busy schedule to help promote tiger fishing in the PNW. His generosity and his credibility are legendary.
Thanks Larry, you made the day! :king:

Tiger Muskies are sterile.
You can't keep them under 50 inches:
Let them do their job: Eating N.P.Minnows

Truly a success all around especially for being the very first muskie school. I want to thank everyone and all the hard work they did. Setup, cleanup, organizing, rewriting the whole presentation the night before (that's for you KUP), everybody and you know who you are. Without any of you none of this would have happened or even been as successful as it was. Great job Chapter 57. The one thing that really baffled me was all the stats and measurements of all the muskie since they began tracking muskie that Larry knew off the top of his head. He was like a kid in a candy store. We appreciated the visit Larry and you are always welcome back any time.

for those of you who were unable to attend, you truly missed out, but there is always next year. Again great job guys, it could not have gone any better!!

Let the fishing season begin!!
