Senior Project-Selling Bass Lures

Post by CK14 » Wed Apr 01, 2009 1:57 pm

Hey guys, I am posting today to get the word out about my senior project, which of course had to be about fishing! My project consisted of me making plastic fishing lures and the molds from scratch and then to sell them. This is not for my personal gain however, but for the charity C.A.S.T. for Kids; which helps underprivileged children get out and fish.

The lures I made are pretty simple but I'm sure they will be affective! The kits I will be selling will consist of 4 stick baits and 1 each of a grub, jig trailor, and a shaky worm. The colors available are black, purple, watermelon, dark purple, and dark watermelon.

I will be selling these kits at the price of one for $4.00 or two for $6.50, shipping included for both. Payment must be by check. Remember that all proceeds go straight to the charity.

Thank you in advance to anyone who is interested! Post on here or PM me if you would like to order some. I have included a picture of the different colors and what one of the kits will look like.

PS: Let me know if this should be moved to the classifieds. I just thought I'm selling bass lures so this section would work out the best.

Definately move it 2 the Classifieds CK14,..I think that would be appropriate,..Bassers look @ the classifieds all the time! Nice baits though!

Haha he's in my English class

about the jig trailors, it's a bit hard for me to sell them by themselves becuse I can only make them 1 at a time. That's why I'd like to keep them in the sets if possible...

Yeah a money order is fine. Thanks everybody for the support this is great. Just PM me with your orders or post up here.

I know I haven't been on for a while but I've been really busy lately with school, and friends, and being the leader of the #5 Call of Duty team :colors:

I usually don't play public matches anymore. I'm usually playing matches against other teams on a site called gamebattles.

I have clan buddies (not the kind that wear sheets) that are on Gamebattles. Hit me up with a FR. IGC Mutiny is my tag.

But back on topic. How do you go about making moulds for these? It looks like it would be a fun hobby.

I bought a silicone RTV system from TAP plastics. You get a little container of a base component and a small tube of blue catalyst. After you mix them it kind of has the consistancy of taffy. then you just let it pour into a pan over what you want a mold for at a slow rate.

oh, and what's your GB name?

I'm only on GB for Fifa 2009, not COD. but my tag is IGC Mutiny if you're interested in just playing some COD.
