Let me know when it comes in. Ill have ya bring it down to our place, we can go do a shakedown cruise with support on the lake here. 24 miles of open water to do all the test and tune, setup, and dialing in.

Nice boat!

???? They would let you do that? Think they would consider moving my boat up a few days to allow me to get that 5 year warranty if I asked nicely???

Aaron you need to visit the Hewescraft owner's forum, not only would they let you come visit, they regularly post progress pics for customers when asked. There's a couple who ordered a 24' Pacific Cruiser and the nice folks at Hewescraft have been posting progress pics on the forum. They just finished the boat the other day, and posted the completed pics. It's cool to have a group of people watch your boat come together and then be able to congratulate the lucky new owners on completion.

The crew at Hewescraft are some of the nicest people I've ever run into. My wife and I made a trip up to tour the factory a couple weeks ago, never intending to buy another boat this soon. Carrie Ann in customer service took us on the full tour, and we even met and talked with Dave Hewes and he was happy to take time out of his day to visit with us. How many business owners do you know that would do that?

As for moving production up a few days, you can ask, right? Did you tell Rick you needed the boat in time to qualify for the warranty? I'd be making a call to Carrie Ann and explain why it's important, but Rick should be able to "handle" the detail on his end.:compress:

I emailed Skipper Bills last night and Tiffany is going to contact their Mercury rep and take care of the warranty thing for me. Awesome. :)

Thanks for the link Gisteppo. Thanks for the info Hewesfisher. I had no idea!

Ordered some Sharkhide today. Should be here in plenty of time. I don't think my boat will be ready for pickup until the week of Apr 20th, which is unfortunate because I won't even be here. I'll be over at Neah Bay.

I just got confirmation from Skipper Bills that they will be able to give me the free 2 year extension on my motor warranty! That extends it to 5 years.

Mike and I will be doing a little fishing with one of our Guide sponsors from Excel Fishing Charters. I don't know a whole lot about it since it will be a completely new experience for me, but apparently it's a hot time for halibut and bottom fish (ling cod, sea bass and cabezon). We'll be shooting a video of the experience and posting it up for your viewing pleasure.

Not this time around Gisteppo. It's going to be a 4 day trip with only 1 of fishing, and lots of business to attend to during the off hours. I would consider letting you come along some other time on maybe a day trip though if the timing and costs were agreeable to you.

Any idea how long the Sportsman takes to build? Who on the forum would I ask to get some pics for me?

Start a new thread. Title it "Pro-V under construction" and just post that you want to see the progress. There are factory reps on the forum and they will post photos, as well as progress reports and help coordinate other things.
